LGBTQIA+ Scholarship Opportunities
Point Foundation (Point) is the nation’s largest scholarship-granting organization for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) students of merit. Point promotes change through scholarship funding, mentorship, leadership development, and community service training.
We take education seriously, knowing that it has the power to help LGBTQ people overcome complex social and economic barriers. For nearly 15 years, we have partnered with donors to create scholarships that provide unique opportunities and access to education, both in New York City and throughout the country.
We aim to help prospective students find the schools that best meet their needs through proprietary research, user-friendly guides, and hundreds of independent college rankings. Tuition can add up, but students rarely have to pay full sticker price for their degree. Learn about the financial aid options that can help you lower the cost of your education.
Our goal is to ensure that all LGBTQ+ people, and particularly those of us who are trans, people of color and HIV+, are treated as full and equal citizens within our movement, across our country and around the world. Check out our list of scholarships, fellowships and grants for LGBTQ+ and allied students at both the undergraduate and graduate-level.
